News from Ireland - Ainhoa Gandarias

I really think that this has been the best experience in my life!!!!

The first week was a little bit hard for me because I had to speak another language, be in another family and make new friends.

The first day at school I also thought that it was going to be really hard and strange but it wasn't, because when I made new friends, I started to speak fluent English and I get used to the new timetable… Everything was grand!!!!
Everybody was so kind and tried to help me when I didn't understand. Because of that I didn't have any problems at all.

In my host family I was so happy and I felt so confy. I was always laughing and having fun and when I was bored I had something to do with them like baking, playing the piano, going for a walk or playing games.

Summarizing, I was always entertained and having fun and when I was a little bit sad, they were always making me laugh and helping me when I needed it!!!

Thanks a lot for this time in Dublin!!!

I was having lots of fun in Ireland. My Irish family was really nice and I've made lots of new friends.

After school, I do my homework and then I played with muy Irish sister. Her name is Hannah. We usually have dinner at four o´clock and in the evening We had an snack, so I wasn't hungry at all.

Every Saturday, I met my Ayalde's friends at Rosemont School where we had English classes before the excursion. We visited different places in order to have fun and also to know the Irish culture. Lots of fun!!!!

On Sundays, I stayed with my family who took me to the seaside and another beautiful places.

We did lovely plans together!!!

My experience Ireland has been perfect!!!!

In my family there was a girl who was nine and a boy who was twenty one. We were very happy and we have funny, great and hilarious time.

At the weekends, we always went to a lot of places like to the cinema, Mc Donalds and so on.

At school, the girls and boys were very friendly and help me a lot. In my school, there were more Spanish students but not in my class and no Ayalde ones were in my school.

Even though we were Spanish we always spoke in English.

The activities at the weekends were fantastic. My favourite ones were: the day we went shopping and the Aquatic Centre one.

MY EXPERIENCE WAS GRAND!!!!

My experience in Ireland has been amazing.

My family was very kind. There were 6 members in the family; a girl who is 18 and her twin, a 10 years old girl and another one who is six.

Apart of the family, there was an Italian student that was my age. We did everything together.
The irish people are very nice.

I was in St. Olaf´s school. All the children were very kind and funny. This experience has been unique.

From Monday to Friday, I went with a friend from Ayalde at school. On Saturdays Ayalde´s pupils joined to study English and after lunch we always did an excursion like; going to the aquapark, going cycling, going to the Jump-zone, tourism in Dublin, going shopping….

Each Sunday my Irish family and I did a different plan. One Sunday we went shopping another one we went to a festival.
Myexperience has been unforgettable and I´ve also improved my English a lot.

I enjoyed a lot and I think that is an incredible experience.

My time in Ireland has been awesome.

The first week was a little bit hard because moving to another family isn´t always very easy. But I had to think that I was there to have a good time and that helped me to get over the first week and people were very kind to me and helped me to make this experience grand.

When the first week passed I forgot that I was in an Irish family and talking to my family on the phone helped me a lot because they gave lots of advices about what to do. After the first week time flew.

The best day of the week for me was Saturday because I met my friends and I did lots of entertaining activities.

On Saturdays my Irish parents took me to Rosemont school to study English and after lunch we had an excursion and we had lots of fun.

On Sundays, we did some activities with the host family and It was amazing.

I loved this experience It was great!!!!! And in the end I didn´t want to go back home.

News from Ireland - Maite Urteaga

I will never forget my time in Ireland.

Some girls told me that the first days could be hard, but not for me. I was so happy with my family. I had only one sister, but it was great and my Irish parents were so nice. Sometimes, when I was bored, I went with Georgia (my sister) to play. She was six, so I helped her with her homework.

I was in Ravenswell Primary School and I had new friends since I arrived. I was in 5th Primary, so it was so easy but I have time to catch up with Ayalde ́s homework and I could improve my English.

Every Tuesday, I went with Georgia to yoga Class. It was grand to learn new way of relaxing.

On Saturdays, we had two hours on English lessons, most of the time were games in order to improve our speaking. After lunch we had an excursion. We went to very cool places. We visited Dublin city centre, to an Aquapark, we went shopping to Graphton St., and we also went to a Jumping zone.

On Sundays, I normally was with the family. We did lots of cool things, like going to the cinema or visiting Irish places like Glendalough.

I didn't like the weather but we were very lucky because it wasn't very rainy. Talking about the food, it was different but I ate everything because they made a big effort for cooking food I liked. Close to my house were magnificent fields full of horses and we went for a walk every weekend.

This experience was unforgettable and I really loved it.
