The Students’ Moms and Dads Association (SMADA)

Each school has a SMADA legally formed, and whose functioning is directed by some statues.

Each association is inserted in the federation in an autonomic level, FAPAE in the Basque Country and in a state confederation (COFAPA). In addition, these federations are integrated in the EPA (European Parent Association), association formed by over ten million families in Europe.

Among its duties:

1-. Stimulate the collaboration of parents with the school so as to reach the aims of its educational project.
2-. Promote training activities which could help parents in the educational duties: conferences, family orientations training sessions, etc.
3-. Channel any parent initiatives and suggestions for the improvement of the school duty, having concern for the autonomy of the Administration which refers to the technical organization, teaching and training activity, and to other of its functions.
4-. Help in the organization and development of the activities which compliment the students' teaching.
5-. To promote and hold economically activities which result in an comprehensive education of the students, matching the school's ideology and educational project.
